lisa roma is multi-creative woman, mother, artist, published writer, poet, editor, graphic designer, illustrator, calligrapher, photographer, singer, songwriter, musician, composer, interfaith minister, educator and visionary. lisa's childhood love of books and early talent as an artist, musician, young writer and poet paved the path for her interest in literary and design services. She has written and self-published several poetry books and is working on her first novel, and a musical theatre project, and recorded her original songs. She got her first camera at age seven from her father.

Creative Women's Network (CWN) was born in 1980, the brainchild of lisa roma, as a "multi-creative publishing cooperative" promoting healing, education and empowerment thru the Arts. CWN began as a vehicle of creative collaboration for professional women and those seeking a voice. It has since evolved into much more, offering creative professional services, artist representation, marketing and promotions, business, community and home services and advocacy. CWN does creative literacy projects with men, women and children and also senior citizens, assisting the elderly and their families in the creation of memoirs.

Creative Women's Network offers literary and design services, publication design from concept to completion, including cover and layout design, manuscript editing, proofreading, illustrations, photography, logo design and promotional services. CWN designs magazines, newsletters and books, such as poetry journals, children's books, novels, cookbooks for individuals to self publish their writing thru print and digital media.

lisa roma is a singer-songwriter, musician-composer, self-taught guitarist, who has been composing songs and lyrics since her teenage years. Over the years, lisa has performed her original brand of folk-jazz songs on guitar as a solo artist, with her Electrik Goddess Orquestra. She has sung her favorite jazz tunes and collaborated with a variety of musician friends. In December of 2006, lisa began a musical partnership with pianist composer arranger and choral director Rob Darnell, founder-director of Poetic Notion Chorus/Experience. She auditioned for his chorus Sunday, December 3rd, and was invited to join the group and perform in his "Re-Inventing Laura Nyro" show on the following Saturday, Dec. 9th at University of the Streets in New York CIty. That night, the group won a Soul-Patrol award for best live performance, and the rest is history. Rob and lisa shared an interest in musical theatre and in 2008 formed The Half Moon Theatre Company (of Brooklyn) thru which they performed and produced their original "Rustic Shadow on a Summer Tree," and The Half Moon Artists Series, a vehicle for local artists at University of the Streets. They continued shows at Puppets Jazz Bar and Two Moon Art House & Cafe, performing the music of Laura Nyro, Marvin Gaye, Joni Mitchell, John Lennon, David Crosby, and original music and Rob's funk operas, jazzy covers and other favorites. Currently, lisa is at work on a unique original musical theatre project, which will incorporate years of songs written by her and a collaborative story to be told thru music, poetry, art and dance. Hoping to be completed and produced in 2015, with funding assistance, lisa is also seeking a home for The Half Moon Theatre Company in NYC.

Lisa was ordained in 2007 as an interfaith minister by James Twyman, and is a member of the Beloved Community. She is a registered marriage officiant and has conducted several weddings. She is available for interfaith sacred ceremonies for all couples.

Lisa received her BFA in Creative Writing and Poetry and ELA Teaching degree from Brooklyn College in 2001. She was a public school teacher and worked in after-school programs teaching poetry and creative writing, and also worked with local music school and privately as a voice coach.

Yvonne Cumberbatch was born in Barbados, immigrating to New York City at age fourteen. After attending Morris High School, it pleased her to major in Business administration and minor in music at Bronx Community and Hunter College. Yvonne enjoys working independently, and has owned an art gallery, several successful boutiques and other businesses.  She collaborates enthusiastically with other artists on unique projects.  Yvonne worked with New Federal Theaters for three years as costume designer and wardrobe mistress. Working for six years at Columbia Pictures in Public Relations was a wonderful career highlight.  Learning to sew, embroider, crochet, knit and bead between age eight and ten was inspired by her mother.  This began a love affair with fabric and yarn that became a thriving creative romance.  She has, for many years, designed exotic hand painted textiles for avant-garde women’s apparel, soft interior furnishings, and window treatments.
